Technicals

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has come with a brand new J series 349cc single-cylinder 4-stroke Air-Oil cooled SOHC engine. The new engine churns out a maximum power of 20.2 BHP at 6100 rpm and 27 Nm maximum torque at 4000 rpm. The gear housing of the Meteor 350 is a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) has been added to this bike for a smoother variation of the air and fuel mixing ratio. The fuel tank looks the inclined type and the fuel tank capacity is 15 Litre. The 170mm ground clearance of the Royal Enfield Meteor makes this bike more friendly in the hill area. The owner reported overall mileage is between 35-40 KM/L in a mixed highway and city travelling.

The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will replace the Thunderbird 350 and Thunderbird 350X. The new 350cc engine is vibrationless because of the addition of a drive shaft balancer. Royal Enfield is planning to replace all 350cc engines with this new Royal Enfield Meteor 350cc engine. The new 350cc machine is suitable for urban areas as well as on highways. The seating position (765mm) of the bike is now lower than Thunderbird 350 for a comfortable long-distance journey. The overall quality of this new motorcycle seems more improved.

The braking system of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a double-disc dual-channel Anti-Braking System (ABS). The front brake comes with a wider 300mm disc with the twin-piston floating calliper and the rear disc brake is equipped with a 270mm disc with a single-piston floating calliper. You will get an improved braking system in the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The front footpegs are on a little bit forward side to provide a comfortable ride by increasing the knee-bending angle of the legs.

Design

The all-new chassis of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is the Twin Downtube Spine Frame type. The new frame is made for higher strength and stability to the bike. Now a rider can cruise with more confidence than ever with this new classic cruiser motorcycle.

Both wheels of the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 are decorated with tubeless tyres and alloy wheels. The 100mm wide front tyre is driven by a 19-inch rim and the 140mm wide tyre is guided by a 17-inch rim. You do not need to change the classic spoke wheels into the alloy wheels now in the new Meteor 350 motorcycle as all wheels are already given in this cruising machine.

The front suspension is telescopic having 41mm forks and a 130mm suspension travel path. A 6-step adjustable twin-tube emulsion shock absorbers have been added to the rear suspension of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The suspensions are more versatile and softer than Thunderbird 350.
