The 2-airbags 5-door model of Renault Triber having a weight of 1166 kilograms used in this test at the speed of 64 kilometers per hour.

In Adult Occupant Protection Triber achieved 4 Stars. The front-side passenger was safer than the driver-side during this crash test. Head protection was good for the both driver and front passenger. The chest and leg below the knee were adequate for the front passenger while it was marginal for the driver because of the heavy structure in front of the driver seat.

In Child Occupant Protection, a child seat for a 3-year old child was used with the adult seatbelt having forward-facing of the child. During impact, the chest safety was average and head safety was low because of the forward movement during the crash test. The CRS for an 18-month-old child's safety performed well during the impact and provides full protection to the 18-month-old child. It was used with an adult seatbelt and the face facing of the child was on the rearward. This model does not come with ISOFIX anchorages. With this all scenario, this car scored 3 Stars for child occupant protection.

Renault Triber becomes the safest car of the Renault on the Indian roads. Alejandro Furas, Secretary General of Global NCAP said, “Renault has significantly improved adult occupant protection performance in frontal crashes compared with our 2016 tests on the Kwid. The Triber sets a strong baseline for the manufacturer, and we encourage Renault to maintain this important progress as a minimum with the goal of achieving 5-star levels of safety.”
